01 · Our story

The outdoors taught us.
Now we pass it down.

Southern KentuckyLaurel River · Daniel Boone Country

There was a time when you learned the outdoors because somebody cared enough to teach you.

A grandpa handed you a pole. A parent showed you how to bait a hook. A neighbor taught you to read the woods, grow food, or make something useful with your hands. Those lessons do not pass themselves down.

PhatKatz Cove is growing from a fishing crew into a community where young people can learn those skills safely, build confidence, and know there are adults ready to say, “Come on. I’ll show you how.”

One pole. One lesson. One tournament. One mentor. One family. One kid at a time.

Below the surface

The Cove runs deep.

A first cast is only the beginning. Beneath every catch are the patience, confidence, and care somebody took the time to teach.

We’re here to keep those lessons moving—from one generation to the next, one family to another, and the riverbank into everyday life.

Good water. Good people. Something worth passing down.

03 · More than a fishing club

Skills for the water.
Confidence for life.

The future PhatKatz Youth Club brings families, mentors, outdoorspeople, and local businesses together around practical, age-appropriate learning.

That old rod could become somebody’s first.

Usable rods, reels, tackle boxes, and outdoor equipment can be cleaned, repaired, and passed into a young person’s hands.
